Collection: COMING SOON! Akathisia Medical Alert Bracelets

These medical alert bracelets were designed to help prevent those suffering with akathisia from being misdiagnosed, mistreated, force-drugged, and abruptly discontinued from medications they are tapering, all of which can make the akathisia much worse and increase the risk of suicide.

In addition to the message on the front of the tag, there is a QR code on the back that opens to a page on the Akathisia Alliance website for medical professionals. It lists the medications they should avoid prescribing as well as other important information about how to treat someone with akathisia.

A blank space was left on the back of the tag for personal information (e.g., name, emergency contact phone number, allergies, etc.) that can be engraved upon receipt of the bracelet. We cannot offer this service at this time.

With the large size of the tag and the word "akathisia," these bracelets may also start conversations that prevent others from experiencing it.
